Myomas are benign masses originating from the uterine muscle. Submucous myomas, which grow toward the internal cavity of the uterus, can occupy space within the uterus and cause problems in the formation and continuation of pregnancy, thereby contributing to infertility. Therefore, it is correct to proceed with infertility treatments after clearing this type of myoma with hysteroscopy. Intramural myomas, which grow within the uterine muscle, do not cause infertility or miscarriage unless they reach large sizes (5-6 cm). It is appropriate to remove myomas that reach these dimensions laparoscopically. Subserous myomas, which grow toward the outside of the uterus, do not cause infertility or miscarriage; regular monitoring is sufficient for them.
