Ovulation tracking is an infertility treatment method in which we monitor egg development in the normal menstrual cycle and determine the time of ovulation, starting on the 2nd-3rd day of the period. Ovulation is stimulated either spontaneously or with medications containing clomiphene citrate, and an ultrasonography is performed again one week later to check follicle, i.e., egg development. Depending on the size of the developing follicle, a trigger shot can be administered and intercourse is recommended the following day. With regular sexual intercourse during the following week, the possibility of pregnancy during the likely ovulation period is attempted to be increased. Ovulation tracking can be applied as a first-line infertility treatment method in cases of unexplained infertility and in polycystic ovary patients.
